Safety Guidelines
Random chat is only fun when you are safe as well. These rules apply to every BaatBox user — read them, follow them, and if someone breaks them, report them without a second thought.
Never share personal details
Never share your real name, phone number, email, home address, or the details of your school, college or workplace. Your display name is the only identity you need here.
Send photos carefully
Photos are temporary and are not stored on our server, but the other user can take a screenshot. Only send a photo you would be comfortable with being saved.
Do not click links
Never click any link your partner sends you. A conversation needs no links at all — and such links are very often phishing.
Asked for money? End the chat
Asking for a recharge, a UPI transfer, a gift card, or money in the name of 'help' is fraud. Use Report & Next straight away.
Age limit: 18+
BaatBox is for adults only. If another user seems to be underage, end the conversation.
Speak with respect
Abuse, threats, demanding photos, or harassing someone in any way is against the community rules. Such users get reported.
Never hesitate to press Next
If the conversation is not working, or you feel uncomfortable, press Next without giving any reason. Leaving is always your right.
Report, and keep it clean
See bad behaviour? Press Report & Next. Your report helps make the platform better for everyone.
If something goes wrong
If someone harasses you, threatens you, or tries to defraud you outside BaatBox, keep the details safe with you and report it to your local cyber crime cell (cybercrime.gov.in). BaatBox does not store chats, so we cannot retrieve old conversations — keeping screenshots yourself is the strongest proof you can have.
