Privacy Policy

BaatBox ("we", "our site") protects your privacy by design. This policy clearly explains what information we collect, what we do not collect, and how third-party services (such as Google AdSense) work.

1. What we store — almost nothing

BaatBox runs no user database. We do not create accounts, so your name, email, phone number or password are never stored with us. The display name and interests you choose exist only in the server's temporary memory, for matching, while your live session lasts. Chat messages and photos are only relayed between the two connected users — we do not save, read or analyse them. The moment your session ends, this information is gone.

2. Browser storage

So that your chat can resume after a page refresh or a dropped connection, a temporary session ID, your display name and your interests are kept in your browser's session storage. Session storage clears itself when you close the tab, and pressing Exit deletes it immediately.

3. Cookies and advertising (Google AdSense)

Ads from Google AdSense may be shown on our site. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can turn personalised advertising off in Google Ads Settings. How Google uses cookies is explained in detail in Google's partner sites policy. In some regions (such as the EEA/UK), where required, we will only run ad cookies after taking your consent through a consent banner.

4. Analytics

We may look at basic, privacy-respecting traffic counts (such as how many people visited the site). The content of your chats is never part of this.

5. Children

BaatBox is not for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect any information from minors.

6. Your rights

Because we do not store personal data, there is usually nothing to access or delete. If you still have a question, contact us at hello@baatbox.example.com — we will reply within 7 days.

7. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in any significant way, we will note it on this page with a new date. Continuing to use the site will be taken as acceptance of the new policy.
